How do you play those mp3s?
Well first you need a player.
For windows...
I actually like the windows media player 9 because it seems to take the least windows resources and has a lot of features that are groovy, like you can see the album cover of the disc I made, etc.... It's really easy to use, too.
Musicmatch Jukebox has even more features, like you can see the lyrics to the songs, etc., and it's really good for making your own mp3s. The main problem is that it seems to hog up my little laptop.
Winamp seems to be the least obtrusive player. You don't feel like you're getting in bed with a corporation. But it's a little small and difficult to navigate.
For Macs...
I plead ignorance... but I think i-tunes is what you need.
If you're on Linux...
I'm even more ignorant. Visit xms.org for info.
Dial-Up and Broadband Issues...
Pretty much all the samples on my site are 128 bit encoded mp3s, which means that they are kind of big and won't stream well over a dial up connection. I won't put up too many lo-fi samples because they sound like crap. So if you're on dial-up you can right click on a sample and save it. When it downloads you can just click on it then and your new player will open up and you'll hear glorious mp3 sound!
